Skopje's "No Man's Land" closes the 57-th Ohridsko leto Festival

"No Man's Land" staged at the Macedonian National Theatre will be presented as part of the official closing ceremony of the traditional Ohridsko leto [Summer of Ohrid] International Festival. Though focusing primarily on music, the festival enriches its programme with theatre productions for the past years. It is organised with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Macedonia. In 1994 it joins the European Festivals Association. Throughout its impressive history it has hosted on its stage performers such as Jose Carreras, Nigel Kennedy, Ennio Morricone, stars of Russian opera and ballet, etc.

Morfov's most recent premiere - "No Man's Land", will close the 57-th edition of Ohridsko leto on 20-th August. The venue is the openair churchyard of St. Sofia in Ohrid.

The invitation is another proof of success for the production. Last month it visited Podgorica, Montenegro, as part of the International Theatre Forum Gostovanja Narodnih Teatara [National Theatres Visits].

St. Sofia is an Orthodox church built in 9-th century upon the conversion of the locals to Christianity, a place of rich history and extraordinary ambiance.
